Little Hummingbirds acknowledges that we are on Treaty 6 territory, the traditional lands of the nêhiyawak (Cree), Anishinaabe (Saulteaux), Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), Métis, Dene, and Nakota Sioux peoples. This land, known as ᒥᐢᑿᒌᐚᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ (amiskwacîwâskahikan/Edmonton), has been a meeting ground and home for Indigenous peoples since time immemorial. We are grateful to live, work, and play here, honoring the spirit and intent of the Treaty with respect and unity.
